  • Water Drops | Ondřej Bělica

Water Drops Water as the rarest material on the planet. This series works with water droplets in conjunction with a steel format, which creates corrosive patterns for evaporation. I use the natural properties of materials in a simple way and let them interact in a controlled manner. It is essentially a painting with water that turns into rust. The motifs are based on geometric principles created in a digital environment. The work is thus an imprint of time and natural influences in a certain period of time or situation. The aesthetics of corrosion and nature have always been with me, probably thanks to my native region of the post-industrial Beskydy Mountains. • Hrob neznamého vojaka | Ondřej Bělica

Monument to war veterans The memorial tells the story of the flag, which together with the soldiers experiences all the events on the missions and thus describes the very story of the soldiers - future veterans. The individual parts of the park are connected by a flying bronze sculpture of the flag, which shows veteranism as a dramatic journey from the beginning to the upward take-off. The statue is the result of capturing the flying Czech national flag in individual sequences .: 1 / Beginning 2 / Flight 3 / Takeoff MS Park letců, Ostrava, 2020 / Competition proposal - 2nd prize Collaboration: Martin Blažek + Jan Adamus ( gimonfu. ) ← BACK TO SPACES

  • Pinscapes | Ondřej Bělica

Pinscapes The point of the project is the transformation of reality into an abstract image and back, a change in scale and context. At the beginning of these graphics is a primitive camera obscura created from a box of matches, in which special internal structures are made using cuts. With the penetration of daylight, these structures are transformed into a virtual landscape. With hand prints on these scenarios, this landscape gains the ability to change the context and scale of virtual space. Print on paper Ljubljana, 2013-2014 ← BACK TO OBJECTS

  • Památník Miloše Formana | Ondřej Bělica

Miloš Forman Memorial ČÁSLAV MILOS FORMANOV - Art competition - 3rd prize The monument to Miloš Forman is depicted as a large circular table, standing in the middle of the crossroads, diagonally connecting the corners of Comenius Square. On the table there is a feast fixed in the form of bronze objects. The design interprets Forman's characteristic dramaturgical space around the table, where the most important stories that Forman told so masterfully take place. There is also a certain absurdity of the situation, love for recession, gastronomy, people and deep topics. The feast features cast objects from Forman's life, his relatives, colleagues, friends and film characters. Miloš Forman himself has his place at the table. It is a portrait of him captured through his favorite activities using significant objects. Mary, sausage, beer, cigar and Oscar. Opposite this place are Forman's characteristic glasses and a pen through which we can look at the world, Forman' s place at the table and vice versa. This table thus becomes a public space in the center of gravity of the park and offers an opportunity to meet with a panoramic view. An important function of the sculpture is the creation of a practically usable dining table during events - M. Forman' s anniversary, food festival and summer cinema. The table should be used for joint dining, at least every year for a feast on the anniversary of Miloš Forman' s birth - an already existing event of eating Forman's favorite sausage and beer. Abbreviation to feast with Miloš Forman. Visitors will literally have dinner with Miloš Forman and become an integral part of the statue and his monument. "As his good friends, but perhaps also the wider public know, Miloš Forman liked company and especially liked to share three ordinary things in it: good food, a good cigar and a good Mariah game." • Yellow Drops | Ondřej Bělica

Yellow Drops This series of steel paintings works with the industrial blueprint of warning signage, which is intrinsically linked to steel and the post-industrial Beskydy region. The linear motifs are formed by drops of paint, which interact interestingly on the reflective, polished surface with an observer. The images thus create several visual spatial plans.
