Acupuncture Paintings made of steel sheets and wires work with their natural properties. In essence, it is a spatial linear drawing with wires and water painting, creating rust, as an artistic and painterly narrative. There is a connection between traditional materials and craftsmanship with new technologies and aesthetics on the border between minimalism and ornament. An important role in these objects is played by light, which is one of the main elements and brings images into another dimension - shadows - lines - reflection. Spatial lines thus transcend the image format and become part of their surrounding environment. Rust is caused by a natural process - rain. The resulting work is thus an imprint of time and natural influences in a certain period. - About | Ondřej Bělica
Ondřej Bělica se jako tvůrce pohybuje na pomezí sochařství a architektury. Těžištěm jeho projektů je odhalování skrytého kontextu a paměti míst, architektonických objektů a řemeslných materiálů. I am an artist and architect working at the intersection of art, architecture and design. I create site-specific installations, objects and spatial projects designed for a specific place, its context and needs. My work ranges from standalone objects to larger interventions in interiors and public spaces. Each project is developed individually — from initial concept to final realization — often in collaboration with architects, companies and private clients. My approach is based on a sensitivity to space, material and atmosphere, with a focus on minimalism and contextual thinking. I am currently open for new collaborations. Ondřej Bělica (*1990) is multimedia artist and architect based in Frýdek-Místek and Brno, Czech republic. He creates objects, site-specific installations and architectural structures in the landscape, public spaces and gallery environments. His work combines elementary principles with new technologies and nature. Naturality and minimalism are the main language in his aesthetics and expression. He studied at the school of non-figurative sculpting and school of architecture at Brno and Ljubljana, where he experienced the collaboration between artists and architects. As a result, he loves to connect art and architecture and creates spatial and contextual artworks on different themes and scales. His work is represented in private collections, galleries and installed in public spaces. Contact me

Our handmade studio is in the main square, where we rebuilt an old townhouse with low-cost wooden interior structures. Atelier The joint studio was created in the space of the former surgeries in the cultural monument building on the square in Frýdek-Místek. With our own efforts, we created a multifunctional space with a hairdressing salon, an architectural-sculpture studio and a residential floor. The main elements are wooden structures made of low-cost materials, such as roof battens, spruce boards, polycarbonate and steel profiles. Since we realized the interior for ourselves, many elements and details were created in the course of construction. The central motif of the salon is a triangle. The latter creates a stage, a suspended LED lamp and a mobile three-walled mirror and reception object. On the main wall, we uncovered the original paintings and created a large-format painting. Shelves made of solid spruce wood are anchored on the wall, and there is a stainless steel work surface with storage spaces on the sides. The studio is dominated by a slatted structure that divides the space into a work and a rest area. The space is connected to a multifunctional room and a workshop with a wooden shelving system. INTERTREE S "InterTrees" is a series of sculptural works materializing the space between tree branches through innovative techniques. Spaces wrapped with string are filled with materials like concrete, plaster, or pressed wood chips, creating casts that capture nature's invisible structures. Each piece uniquely merges material and conceptual elements, referencing both organic and abstract forms, and offering new perspectives on natural and man-made environments. These works reflect a fascinating connection between the tangible and the intangible, with each object bearing unique textures and forms, presenting a fresh view on traditionally unseen natural motifs. - Bunker Cut | Ondřej Bělica
Bunker Cut The central chapter of the Bunker Kunst project is a physical act of architectural section through a bunker revealing the concept, technology, scale and corporeality of the Czechoslovak light fortification vz.37, type A-160, ŘOP 1263 in Vratěnín. This indelible gesture leads to the deactivation of the war mission of the bunker and elevates this utilitarian monolithic unit to a sculptural-environmental object. The oblique cut opens up the impregnable structure and the physical connection between the interior and the exterior. An important moment is the letting of daylight into the concrete shelter and the visual connection with the church tower. In opposition to the technical-historical and museum approaches to Czechoslovak fortifications, this project is moving in an experimental direction that raises the issue of post-war heritage in relation to current and future generations. Monument to war veterans The memorial tells the story of the flag, which together with the soldiers experiences all the events on the missions and thus describes the very story of the soldiers - future veterans. The individual parts of the park are connected by a flying bronze sculpture of the flag, which shows veteranism as a dramatic journey from the beginning to the upward take-off. The statue is the result of capturing the flying Czech national flag in individual sequences .: 1 / Beginning 2 / Flight 3 / Takeoff MS Park letců, Ostrava, 2020 / Competition proposal - 2nd prize Collaboration: Martin Blažek + Jan Adamus ( gimonfu. ) ← BACK TO SPACES

Gallery space revitalization to the clear and open space for contemporary exhibition - Brno, Czechia Young Gallery The Young Gallery is an important exhibition space located on the ground floor of the building, but it seems as if it is not quite at home here. The proposal envisages the removal of the metal railing and cubic lining, which until now function as a barrier in the gallery and divide the exhibition area and the corridor. By creating long wooden stairs that connect to the trapezoidal staircase to the next floor, the two spaces are opened and connected. An important element in the gallery is the floor, which should be done here in cast concrete screed of gray color. www.galerie-tic.cz Collaboration with Martin Blažek ← BACK TO SPACES
