Bunker Kunst

Bunker Kunst (experimental and co-working platform) examines the potential and current role of formal borders, the post-army landscape and the Czechoslovak fortifications built before World War II. The aim is to resuscitate the post-war areas, in which more than ten thousand concrete bunkers play a leading role. These monumental mementos of their time are gradually transformed into free islands, the focus of reclamation of the uprooted borderland. The deadly boundary line is now becoming free space. It is a series of theoretical, studio and site-specific projects and happenings. So far, more than 40 volunteers, students and professionals have taken part in the project.
