Section paintings

 

The collection of cut paintings works with this traditional artistic medium in a minimalist

and sculptural way. The ornaments are made by cuts with a hand-held Japanese saw. Practically, it is the interposition of a cutting plane with a stretched painting canvas on a wooden frame or a group of canvases. The cut of the canvas creates geometric, modular figures of various formats and compositions. Gesto accentuates the reduction of creative tools and the use of the cut as the most imaginative display method. As it is generally used in architecture and engineering (floor plan, section, side section,...) The result of the section is not destruction, but the doubling of the object - positive - negative.
